The well-being of our animals is fundamental to everything we do at Prairie Ranchers Beef. During the grazing season, our cattle graze freely on open pastures, enjoying a natural diet of diverse grasses and plants, just as nature intended.
In the winter months, when fresh pasture isn't available, they are fed high-quality stored forages, including silage and hay. Cattle in the finishing stage are also fed grass-based forages, maintaining a consistent grass/forage only feeding program throughout their life.
This low-stress approach not only honours our commitment to humane animal care but also results in healthier animals that produce more nutritious, flavourful beef. True to our regenerative ranching philosophy, our cattle are raised without growth-promoting hormones and antibiotics, and they maintain their grass-fed and grass-finished diet throughout their entire lives.
We believe that treating animals with respect and care is both our ethical responsibility and the foundation of truly exceptional beef.
